Yours Truly finally felled by Covid, so (as provided by Liz) …
Very limited notes.
Everyone read it and liked it. Angelika listened to it – it was narrated by Stephen King!
First time that Mary and Rose had read Stephen King. We tried to explain that not all of his stuff is horror/gory. Not sure they believed us.
Discussion/education (for some) about novel vs novella vs short story.
Brief discussion on characters and favorite parts – description of main character getting the mail, description of the race.
We definitely needed you there to keep people on task for book discussion.
Lots of chatter: Thanksgiving (Angelika does not recommend Dish & Dram), Rose inviting everyone to her open house Christmas Eve cocktail party (4-7), Shelley still dating Morrisey guy, Karen Castle & fam going to Puerto Rico for Christmas and she got new living room furniture. Liz trying to get rid of furniture since more room is needed to store David’s furniture that they hope to have room for one day. Mary interested in Liz’s furniture potentially for Catherine. Rose wants two new rugs. Discussion about bathroom tiles, pictures to be supplied by Karen C.

For the record, Yours Truly could appreciate the writing skill (duh), but didn’t love the book much.
